Prices of houses up by 7% in quarter ending June

Property prices increase in 43 towns too!

Prices of houses are increasing with each passing day in Hyderabad. In the quarter ending June, the prices have increased by 6.9%, according to the Housing Price Index released by the National Housing Bank recently. The index said that the condition in about 43 towns and cities across the nation is more or less the same. Compared to the lending rates on housing loans prior to the pandemic situation, the prevailing lending rates are less, it said. As a result, the prices of houses have become affordable.

In Ahmadabad the house prices increased by 9.1%, followed by Bengaluru (8.9%) and Kolkata (7.8%). However, Chennai recorded a rise in prices of houses by 1.1% followed by Delhi (0.8%). But, Mumbai recorded a rise in housing prices of 2.9%, while Pune accounted for 6.1% increase. On the whole, the quarter ending June, the price of houses in 50 towns and cities registered an increase of 4.8% when compared to prices of houses in these towns and cities last year during the corresponding period. During the last year, the price of rice was 7% during the corresponding period. Compared to the rise in prices of houses in the quarter ending March, prices of houses increased by 0.7% in the April-June quarter.
