The prices of real estate across the nation are increasing. However, the Hyderabad market is ahead of all other markets. The price hike of properties across eight major cities in the country was more or less limited to 10 percent; the prices in the Hyderabad market registered a 19% increase. During the quarter beginning September this year, the prices in the Hyderabad market have increased by 19%, according to real estate agencies CREDAI, Colliers, and Liases Foras.
The price per square foot in Hyderabad has crossed Rs 11,040. Out of the eight major cities across the nation, the maximum increase in prices was registered in Hyderabad alone, followed by Bangalore (18%), where the price per square foot has been set at Rs 9471. Chennai registered a 7% growth in prices. The developers charge Rs. 7712 per square foot in Chennai. Further, the National Capital Region of Delhi registered a 12% increase in prices (Rs 8655 per square foot), while the Kolkata market also registered a 12% increase (Rs 7406 per sft), and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region registered a 1% increase in property prices, with developers charging Rs 19,585 per sft. The house prices in the Pune market have increased by 12 percent, leading to developers charging Rs 9014 per sft.
