The Haryana Pollution Control Board developed a system of green ratings on a scale of 1 to 220 to check growing atmospheric pollution, judging it with the help of 29 parameters. The rating will be applicable to sites admeasuring more than 500 square meters. If the score varies between 25 and 55 the pollution would be termed as worse. If the score varies between 56 and 100, the pollution level is satisfactory. There will be two other categories called Very Good and Excellent. The board seeks to serve notices on owners of sites where the score is less than 100 and suggests them to implement pollution control measures. In case, proper measures are not put in place, it imposes fine on them. As the pollution is very high in Delhi, the neighboring state of Haryana took measures to prevent pollution by implementing this system.
