Layout proposed by Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) in Vijayanagaram district has been approved by the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). VMRDA is developing layouts on 41 acres for middle income groups (MIGs) in two different zones in Vijayanagar district. These have recently been approved. Visakhapatnam district, on the other hand, has also sent proposals to the DTCP for two more layouts on 363 acres. Of these, one layout is coming in 269.3 acres in GS Agraharam and Ramavaram villages. Another light is coming in 93.8 acres in Palavalasa. According to VMRDA officials, the prices of plots in these areas will be determined based on the cost of land pooling, development and infrastructure.
Permission for MIG Layout in Vijayanagaram
The government has decided to develop MIG plots in urban areas across the state under the Jagananna Smart Towns scheme. Demand survey for MIG plots has been conducted. So far 3.9 lakh applications have been received. Meanwhile, VMRDA Commissioner K Venkata Ramana Reddy said tenders would be called soon for clearing the land and providing infrastructure in the wake of DTCP approval for the lights in Vijayanagaram district. The government intends to give MIG plots to the public at less than the market rate. Under this scheme, families with an annual income of between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 18 lakh are eligible to buy a plot.
