‘I like our culture to Reflect in the décor’

Blossoming actress Digangana Suryavanshi, who was last seen in the startling movie Seetimaar, has signed her next project in Tollywood! She has been cast opposite Aadi Saikumar is a film produced by KK Radha Mohan. The actress, who is known for keeping her life very hush-hush, goes on to give us some more discernment about her thoughts on her dream house and more while conversing with the Real Estate Guru.

For Digangana, the concept of building her dream house is really different for her right now, as she thinks home is home irrespective of whether you own it, you live with parents or your partner. “For me the home is a place with a lot of tradition. I like our culture to reflect in the decor. I am not fond of very high towers (Interestingly). I get too scared of waking up to see clouds out of my window. And, towers in Bombay are so huge, and I can live in something like a tower for a couple of days but permanently I can’t do that.”

The actress’ visuals about her house are as simple as she looks, but she is not that minimalistic when it comes to decor. According to Digangana, she likes to have simple things in a house and have a lot of empty space. “I like the room if the ceiling is not close to my head. These are the things that matter to me when it comes to houses. I am not that minimalistic when it comes to decor. I like antiques. The wooden carvings and stuff like that, which gives a really nice royal ancient Indian feeling,” said Digangana.

Like many, even she wants to live her life away from the hustle bustle. “I would love to live in a locality that is very calm and quiet in nature, obviously that is very hard in Mumbai. I do not like too much noise. For me, there has been a certain sense of peace where I live and a certain degree of space.”

But, where does Digangana want to spend her time when she is free? It is anywhere her heart is. “I would like to spend most of my time anywhere my heart is. I like spending time at Marine Drive. In my house, I like spending time in my room and in the living area. I would like to have my dream house in Mumbai only, I can’t imagine anywhere else in the world.”

Coming back to her dream house, we asked her to list out three features her dream home will must have and she replied saying, “A lot of space, many rooms and it is white dominant.” With the pan-India trend, many actors are living the life in a suitcase. So is Digangana. Having lived in Mumbai and Hyderabad, the difference she finds between the two citities is that: “Mumbais seems totally jam packed and wherever you see there are buildings and towers while Hyderabad seems to have more space , a lot of places where you can just breathe and have time for yourself.”

On a lighter note, when asked what she would do if she had all the money in the world, she replied to us saying, “I would just donate it. I think it is really stressful to have a lot of money. I am not the kind of person who dreams a lot about materialistic things so I have never really thought about what if I had a lot of money and what would I have done with it. I will give you an example-If I have to buy a car, I will just see how much money I have and buy a car according to that, it won’t be like this particular car I want and I have to have it. I am very organic in that sense; I like the right kind of work and spending time with the right kind of people.”
