- Good news for the poor who bought unregistered plots
- Government sets deadline till March 31
The state government has decided to speed up the implementation of the long-pending LRS (Layout Regularization Scheme). A meeting was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on the progress of the implementation of this scheme. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Dudilla Sridhar Babu participated in this meeting. As part of the program to speed up the implementation of the LRS scheme, the government has decided to provide a 25 percent concession. This concession has been provided to plot buyers until March 31. In addition, the ministers have taken a decision to provide various facilities to those who have purchased plots individually and have not registered them, and to regularize a large number of unsold plots in the layout.
In a layout, 10 percent of the plots have been registered and the remaining 90 percent of the plots have been given the opportunity to be regularized under the LRS scheme. It has been decided to provide them with the opportunity to get a 25 percent subsidy till March 31. Those who have purchased plots and have sale deed registration will also be given a 25 percent subsidy if they get LRS by 31. The poor people have been waiting for the resolution of LRS applications for the last four years. The ministers appealed to them to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the government keeping in mind the interests of the poor.

Chief Secretary Shanthakumari, Principal Secretary Finance Department Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary Municipal Urban Development Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary Revenue Naveen Mittal, Principal Secretary Industries Department Jayesh Ranjan, Commissioner of Stamps and Registration Buddha Prakash Jyoti, Managing Director Housing Gautam and others participated in this meeting.
