GO 111 turns out to be merely a paperwork formality

We welcome repeal of GO 111
Muppa Projects Chairman Muppa Venkaiah Chaudhary

The long-awaited repeal of GO 111 has been met with open arms by Muppa Projects Chairman, Muppa Venkaiah Chaudhary. He felt that this government order had remained nothing more than ink on paper, with no real implementation to speak of. Chaudhary highlighted the ongoing construction of new structures in the area over the past few years, emphasizing the lack of adherence to GO 111. During a candid conversation with Real Estate Guru, he shed light on his perspective regarding this issue.

“The area, where GO 111 was supposed to have an impact, houses several medical and engineering colleges notorious for their pollution levels. Ironically, the lack of control in this particular region has allowed illegal constructions to flourish, driven solely by individual whims. We support the cancellation of GO 111, which presents a favourable opportunity for the government. While there is construction of lavish, multi-crore buildings in neighbouring areas like Kokapet, how is it fair to deny such developmental progress to Vatti Nagulapalli, which lies in close proximity. However, the authorities should grant permissions in this area under specific conditions.

Further, the government should draft a comprehensive master plan for the GO 111 region, envisioning the establishment of a well-planned city. This plan would involve allocating spaces for government offices, IT companies, private enterprises, parks, and water bodies. Wide roads and an efficient public transportation system to accommodate future growth are important. The current situation of the roads is such that while the existing roads are already narrow, the construction of the metro train made it congested and power lines too have added complexities.

By incorporating these considerations into the master plan, the government could overcome any potential obstacles posed by the metro train or even a future bullet train. Such careful planning, would contribute to the creation of another stunning area within Hyderabad’s landscape.”
