A girl was electrocuted in a lift in an apartment in Uppal. The incident came to light late when the residents of the apartment filed a complaint against the builder at the Uppal police station after the girl who was going in the lift was electrocuted. According to the Uppal police, an apartment was constructed by Mahalakshmi Infra Private Limited in the name of Sampradayam and sold to consumers in Seshasainagar of Uppal Swarupnagar. A girl, who was living on the third floor of the apartment, got an electric shock while getting into the lift and went unconscious. As a result, she was immediately rushed to the hospital and her health deteriorated.
Those who complained earlier on March 11 that the lift was causing electric shock due to the builder’s negligence and never working properly, filed a complaint with the Uppal police again on Saturday. The president Devulapalli Venka Takirankumar, vice-president Rajasekar Reddy and secretary Rajni Chakraborty alleged that when the police called the builder and reprimanded him, he pretended to repair the lift of the apartment. The victims asked the Uppal police to take legal action against the negligent builder.
