A case has been registered against Varishta Infracon Pvt Ltd, a Hyderabad-based real estate company, on the allegations of cheating people by promising them plots. The Panjagutta police revealed that a cheating case has been registered against the company’s MD V Radhakrishna, executives V Rajeshwari and T Ratnakar Reddy for collecting large amounts of money from several people and not giving them plots. A person named G Mahesh first complained that he had paid Rs 11.36 lakh to Varishta Infracon for the plot, which was not delivered. During investigation, the police discovered that 20 others were also cheated in similar fashion. It was confirmed that a total of Rs 2 crore was collected by promising plots in the Saffron Valley layout in Keshampet. They were assured to hand over plots within three to six months upon obtaining all approvals. However, the executives of the company absconded after taking the money and shutting down the office. The victims lodged a complaint with the police.
