First in Narsinghi, cycle station set up

It has more than 40 electric bicycles, 200 bicycles.

Bicycles will run on the 24-kilometre-long cycle track established adjacent to the Outer Ring Road. Although it started during the previous government regime, IT employees who want to go to the office on a bicycle have been waiting for some time since it was not fully available. Requests have been made to the government several times about when the cycle track will be available. Responding to this, the government suggested that those who have their own bicycles can cycle directly on this track, while those who do not have bicycles can rent them and ride. Now the first cycle station at Narsinghi Hub has been established. In this way, around 200 bicycles, including more than 40 electric bicycles, have been made available. This means that the rent for each bicycle per hour is Rs. 50.

Managed by private companies…

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has entrusted the management of cycle stations to private companies. Cycle stations have been established at four places on the 24 km ORR cycle track, and infrastructure has been provided in Telangana Police Academy Junction, Nanakramguda, Narsinghi, and Kollur areas for cycle stations. HMDA officials say that bicycles are currently available for rent at the Narsinghi hub and will soon be set up in other areas. Boards have been installed to indicate the distance of every kilometer on the cycle track. Mainly, meeting points, track colouring, safety signs, electric lights, and other safety arrangements have been made to prevent other vehicles from entering the cycle track. The HMDA officials have made arrangements to provide lighting with electric lamps so that there is no chance of any accidents, especially at night.
