The Greater Noida Authority cracked the whip on 13 realty developers for encroachment of the green belt area and fined them to the tune of Rs 1.27 crore. These include Sam India Olympia, Dream Ville Arcade, Galaxy Plaza, Saya, Aarza Square, EM BARC, Gaur City, NXone, Neo Town, Nirala Estate and Bloom International School. If they fail to pay the fine in a week, the Greater Noida Authority threatened to issue a recovery certificate against them. If the encroachments are not removed immediately, further legal action would be taken against them. A recent drive by the Greater Noida Authority officials led to several housing societies ignoring the rules pertaining to green belt area and encroaching upon the area. Therefore, the authorities imposed fine on violators.
