Brought up in one of the best neighborhoods, upcoming Tollywood sensation Kavya Thapar is a self-made woman who owns a beautiful home of her own. Before letting us know about the cognisance of her home, she recalls her childhood memories from the first ever residence she lived in — “Was brought up in a joint family, all of us shared a bunglow in Bhandup. A dysfunctional yet a contented Punjabi family. It was back then when the whole family added immense value to who am I in the industry today.
A joint family taught me the significance of bonds, really! They told me bedtime stories, have innumerable memories with my cousins, mom feeding me, grandad always on a disciplined charade, my father snuggling me like no one else: all of it happened in that bunglow. Can’t trade this happiness with anything else, ever. Definitely will pass on these moments to my kids to cherish too.”
A lover of monochromatic simplicity, Ravi Teja’s next heroine explains to us about her concept of modern minimalist. For example, “Room’s decoration is not so important for me but the view from the window space. Kindly, visualise. Adding statement pieces from every country will be cherry on the cake! Pieces should be speaking to one another, not literally (she laughs). When I travel, and bring back something from there: it’s a souvenir. Art should be in simple composition but attractive.
This is what I like.” Whenever we ask celebs, if they had all the money in the world what type of a structure would they want to build for themselves & everyone comes up with a “choice”. Kavya Thapar is different: “I’ll rather build houses for those who are homeless.”
Speaking more about the decor in her upcoming dream home, she said, “Since, I have an active life, need my home to be restful. And, not stimulating to my eye, for god’s sake! Bungalow is all over again my priority, been there done that. Want to relocate to my joint family delight but each one of them having their privacy too. I wouldn’t like to invade! Simplicity in design but uniqueness will be the restoring key.” Hoping for that day to come very soon, Ek Mini Katha fame wants to build her dream home in Europe because, “I am enamored by French decor.
I have seen Italian marble and it’s enchanting! Europe is #homegoals. Moving ahead, I have another place in mind which is Switzerland. A wooden cottage is everyone’s dream, so is mine! Even the village over there is so exquisite. The bliss of the dawn speaks to you. I literally want to bask in the mountains of Switzerland. Breathtaking scenery, taking in the fresh air is my dream.”
