Don’t interfere in sand matters!

AP CM tells Ministers, MLAs

In the context of sand management, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has clearly instructed ministers and MLAs to avoid any interference. He emphasised that the free sand policy was implemented to make sand available to the common people without any room for corruption or malpractice.

During a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, various issues were discussed. Chandrababu noted that although the free sand scheme was introduced during the TDP government from 2014-2019, it led to a negative reputation for the government due to the actions of certain ministers and MLAs at that time.

He stressed that such a situation should not arise again and made it clear that ministers should not involve themselves in sand-related matters. He warned that if anyone interferes and brings a bad name to the party or the government, they would not hesitate to remove them from the Cabinet. He also advised ministers to communicate this message to the MLAs.
