Amendment to the building by-laws of the Secunderbad Cantonment Board has received the Ministry of Defense’s approval. Accordingly, owners of buildings in the purview of the board can add additional floors to their buildings, according to civilian member of the board J Ramakrishna. He said that he amended by-laws would come into effect in three months.
He said that he explained various developments in the board to the director-general of defense estates during his recent visit to Delhi and also to the Defense Secretary. Later, talking to media, Ramakrishna said that the board officials have clarified the doubts raised by the defense ministry on the by-laws.
