Vijay Varma, the actor, now needs no introduction. He rose to fame after his stint in movies like Pink, Middle Class Abbayi, and Darlings, among many others.
His name is now heard everywhere, especially in the Telugu-speaking states, after actress Tamannaah Bhatia made her relationship official with this actor.
He had his share of hiccups before settling in the industry. In this week’s column, Vijay Varma, an animal lover, especially dogs, gives a tour of his Mumbai house in a YouTube video in which he has been living for the past one and a half years.
The actor, in his decade-long career, has changed over 14 houses, and now his house is located on Juhu Versova Link Road.
His morning coffee spot is his favourite spot in the house. It’s not a fancy place to lounge, but a cosy window-facing area with a bright yellow sofa where people like to relax.
Vijay Varma’s house got a beautiful sea view from his morning coffee spot. Lush greenery all around, the window faces straight to the sea, which gives a whiff of fresh breeze.
“I saw houses for many months, and I waited for many months before finding this house. I always wait for the right things to happen. This house now feels so peaceful and nice. It’s open and airy, and every room in this house has natural light coming in. Every room in this house has a sea view.”
The sea view is because in whichever corner he was sitting, he wanted a view of greenery and water and the feeling of freshness.
In the video posted a few months ago, the actor says he gave his touch to his rented apartment and personalised it as per his taste.
There is a huge green door in his house with a Batman poster on it, which shows he is a fan of the Batman series.
He has a ‘Vijay Corner’ in the house, which has posters and photos gifted to him by all kinds of people he has come across in his life.
It is interesting because it is a collection of moments from all the work he has done so far.
He got a letter framed by Amitabh Bachchan, which he got after the success of Gully Boy.
“He sent me a bouquet and a handwritten note, and I decided that day that I would not give auditions from now on.”
He has an entire room dedicated to his shoes. From Nike to Jordan, he has a bunch of collections across all brands, and his pair of branded shows was gifted to him by Anurag Kashyap.
He is also a big Polaroid person. So he has a collection of pictures of all the interesting people he worked with. He carries his Polaroid wherever he travels.
