Beware of misleading ads!

Buyers are asked not to be

misled by such advertisements

In a bid to prevent prospective buyers from walking into the trap of a maze of advertisements for properties, the UPRERA, which is proceeding in a fast lane, has warned the buyers against being misled by the commercial advertisements of a particular organisation as they are fraudulent and asked the buyers not to invest their hard-earned money in responding to the advertisement. The advertisement campaign carrying the caption “Sarvottam World” is fraudulent. Therefore, the UPRERA has asked the investors to save them from getting cheated by not investing in the property, responding to the advertisement.

The advertisement released on all media platforms, including AIR and digital platforms, with the name Sarvottam World states that a high-tech township project is conceived in New Noida with the title Megapolis, and Sarvottam Megapolis is fraudulent. The advertisement is misleading. As stated in the advertisement, the project is not registered with RERA. The RERA registration number being claimed by the developer belongs to another developer. The promoter of the project inserted the advertisement with the wrong information. It would be tantamount to violating the RERA rules. Such advertisements give negative publicity to the industry. Moreover, it would be tantamount to duping the prospective buyers, said UPRERA secretary Pramod Kumar Upadhyay.
