Beware of fake websites in realty sector

In the current era of digital world, use of digital platforms in real estate sector has increased. They are very convenient at the same time giving lot of scope for frauds. According to a study undertaken by a reputed organisation, it was identified that there are around 400 fake websites pertaining to real estate sector.

According to filtered, a global fraud detection and prevention company, there are over 387 fake websites. Some of them are using popular brand names and are being run illegally. It suggested the buyers and consumers to remain on the alert. Therefore, it advised precautions as the websites are being run in the name of the projects.

It suggested reputed firms to take suitable remedial measures to protect the interests of buyers. In RERA-approved projects, all details are included. However, the fake websites beg to differ. Therefore, the prospective buyers should verify all these facts. It asked the buyers not to fall prey to the designs of cyber fraudsters who demand initial payment to book the flat. At the same time, it urged the buyers not to share your personal information with others.
