In the state, organisations like Oberoi and Mayfair are expressing great interest in natural beauty spots. It is already known that Oberoi has come forward to establish resorts in Tirupati, Gandikota, and Pichukalanka. The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to develop Araku and Lambasingi as adventure centres through the central Swadesh Darshan scheme. There are plans to enhance the Borra Caves with good sound and lighting to make them more attractive. Plans are also being developed to improve Rushikonda Beach as a Blue Flag beach. The Andhra Pradesh government is considering introducing water sports in tourist areas with ample water. Notably, under the Prasad scheme (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive), the Annavaram pilgrimage site is being developed with an investment of Rs 25.32 crore.
