If builder stopped construction complain to RERA

Has the builder suspended construction of your dream house or flat project and delayed handing over of the flat? Is the builder harassing you?

Collecting money from all buyers in the beginning itself, did the builder divert it to other projects? Is he putting pressure on buyers to clear the dues to complete the construction?

In case, such a project has been listed with the RERA, the buyers should immediately alert Telangana RERA about it. It will assess the reality and offer customers the solution.

In fact, the RERA has been constituted in Telangana to solve this kind of problems arising due to omissions and commissions of builders and realtors. However high a position a developer might be occupying, how well connected maybe he is politically, there is no need for the buyers to dread him. Major builders who posed problems to buyers in Delhi are cooling their heels now behind the bars. In Maharashtra, the RERA has completed the stranded project. Moreover, in UP the RERA did more or less the same task. Therefore, the buyers should not worry about the problem becoming complexer with the builder not completing the project on time.

In case if any of the buyers has any problem with builders, he or she should immediately contact the Telangana RERA office in Masab Tank to find a sure solution to the problem.

In Madhapur, a promoter did not complete the project which was started five years ago. In fact, the builder stopped construction activity after building up to 10th floor. For the past one year, ther Madhapur, e has been no progress. Buyers of the project have decided to pay the contractor Rs 6 crore directly instead of paying to the promoter. The buyers are bothered with the problems: When the balance of work to execute a tower would be completed? How two more floors to the 10th floor are going to be added? How much more money is needed to finish sanitary, hardware, flooring, and electrical, plastering, lappam finish works, according to the buyers.

A conservative estimate says that at least some crores of rupees are needed to finish the task. Everyone is worried about whether the developer will complete the project or not. Over 200-300 buyers who have bought flats with the buyer in 2017 are facing troubles even today. To make such builders to mend their ways, the only alternative is to lodge a complaint with the RERA. If the buyers delay and dither on the issue, the builder is likely to delay the project further. Therefore, the buyers should make a decision without any further delay.
