A case was registered against Terra Group on the directions from court for its failure to hand over the flat to the customer in 2011.
A 46-year-old customer Anubala of Roshanpura bought a flat in Terra Castle project of Terra Group in 2011 by paying Rs 14.17 lakh for using it at an appropriate time for the benefit of her physically challenged daughter. The property was in the name of her daughter. She wanted to use it at the time of her marriage. For the past two years, she requested the builder to hand over the unit to her, but in vain. As there was no alternative, she lodged a complaint with a Gurgaon court in June this year saying, “All I had was this property. I was aiming to sell the house and use the money for my daughters’ marriage. I have been subjected to mental and physical abuse by the developer for the past two years. Last week, a Gurgaon court ordered police to file a case for further investigation. A complaint was filed in sector 29 police station for cheating, forging papers, criminal conspiracy and cheating.
