India’s real estate sector is poised for growth, with equity investments expected to reach $10 billion (Rs 84,000 crore) in FY 2024, driven by strong demand in commercial and residential spaces. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and CBRE forecast a 49% rise in investments, potentially hitting $11 billion (Rs 92,500 crore) this year. From January to September 2024, investments rose 46%, totaling $8.9 billion (Rs 75,000 crore). Domestic investors contributed 65%, with foreign investments from North America and Singapore accounting for 85% of international funds. Developers are set to receive the largest share at 41%.
