Amaravati Railway Line: A Game Changer for Real Estate

With the central government’s approval for a new railway line to Amaravati, a fresh surge in the real estate sector has emerged. Local realtors indicate that there is potential for residential properties and commercial developments in areas surrounding the upcoming stations. The new line will stretch 57 kilometres between Errupalem and Namburu, with an estimated cost of Rs 2,245 crores, and is expected to be completed within four years. According to the railway department, this project will generate nearly 1.9 million direct job days.

The new railway route will connect Amaravati through Errupalem to Vijayawada, Guntur, Khammam, and Hyderabad, providing accessibility from Chennai to Kolkata. It will also facilitate access to religious sites such as the Amaralingeswara Swamy Temple, the Amaravati Stupa, the Meditation Buddha Statue, and the Undavalli Caves. Additionally, it will enhance connectivity to Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, and Kakinada ports, with a bridge being constructed over the Krishna River, spanning 3.2 kilometres.
