The municipal department issued orders on Thursday granting full powers to HYDRA. In response, HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath stated that the amendments to the GHMC Act have provided HYDRA with comprehensive authority. He mentioned that HYDRA will now issue notices for the protection of government properties and will also be responsible for demolishing illegal constructions. Additionally, he noted that HYDRA has been empowered to seize unauthorized buildings as well.
