In Mumbai, which is the c/o address for expensive real estate in the country, expensive purchases are made from time to time. Buying a flat by spending hundreds of crores of rupees is not new. Recently, Godrej Agrovet Chairman Nadir Godrej recently bought three apartments in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill for Rs.180 crores. Each flat has a carpet area of 4,610 square feet. A total of 13,831 square feet of space houses these three flats, which were purchased for Rs. 1.3 lakh per square foot.
These flats, ranging from six to eight and even nine bedrooms, were directly bought from JSW Realty. The sale deed took place on June 12. They cleared stamp duty of Rs. 3.5 crore for each apartment. This purchase is in one of Mumbai’s affluent areas where wealthy industrialists reside. Earlier, Paramount Capital Director Mukul Agarwal bought three apartments in Lodha Malabar Hill for Rs. 263 crore.
