“If anyone comes to me for any kind of work within the scope of the law, I will stand by them. But if they want to work against the law, then I will not spare it,” declared Telangana CM Revanth Reddy while speaking at a programme held in Nanakramguda last week. Now, while the CM is very strict that he will not work with people working against the law, why don’t the officials of Municipal Administration, Revenue, and Panchayat Raj understand the same? If Dream Valley Resorts is illegally constructing 31 villas in Baakaram near Himayatsagar, one of the twin reservoirs, why are the authorities delaying its demolition? Is it because all these officials are well aware of these constructions? How long will the authorities need to demolish these illegally built villas?
The TS RERA authority set up in Telangana is behaving very strangely. Even after obtaining the RERA permission, the authority, which sends notices to the builders for not submitting the report every three months, is not taking any action against Dream Valley Company constructing villas in Baakaram, which falls under GO 111. Has the notice at least been sent to them? Or did they give up on conveniently ignoring these illegal constructions? Why did the previous HMDA officials, who tried to hog the limelight by promoting the demolition of illegal construction in the GO 111 area, leave this villa project unattended?
After the formation of the Congress government, will there be a stop to such illegal villas? Who, from the Congress government, is protecting the Dream Valley company that is building illegal villas? If the same attitude of officials continues, CM Revanth Reddy, who gave the public confidence that he would react to any wrongdoing in Hyderabad, will lose his credentials among the people of Telangana. So, there seems to be an urgent need for the Chief Minister to greenlit the demolition of Imagine Villas being built by the Dream Valley.
