Waste of forum time.. Rs.30 thousand fine

Consumer forum fined Rs. 30,000 on two builders. Nagpur Additional District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ordered that the amount be deposited to the Consumer Legal Aid Fund. It suggested that the amount should be spent on needy consumers. To this extent, the two partners of Ma Vaidehi Builders and Developers, Ravindra Fating and Nandu Ahrikar, have been ordered to pay a fine of Rs.30 thousand and Rs.20 thousand each in two other cases. Both of them have to pay a total of Rs.70 thousand.

Seema Bawane of Nagpur’s Ravi Nagar approached the commission against both of them in 2018. He complained that he was not paid Rs.2.59 lakh. The commission ordered to pay the amount within a month. However, due to non-payment, the complainant once again approached the commission. In this background, the builders who reached a compromise on December 3, 2021.. once again missed their word. The commission became serious after violating the order in a row. An arrest warrant has been issued against both of them. As a result, the police arrested them on July 26 this year and produced them before the commission. Then they compromised again to avoid punishment. But this time the commission showed no mercy to them. The court imposed a fine of Rs.30 thousand for wasting its time for four years.
