The Telangana Cabinet on Thursday took several key decisions related to urban development. As expected.. it gave the green signal for the formation of Future City Development Authority (FCDA). 7 mandals and 56 villages will be included in this. The government has taken this decision to develop Future City in an area of about 30 thousand acres between Nagarjunasagar Highway and Srisailam Highway. These 36 villages will be removed from the HMDA area and handed over to FCDA. The Cabinet has approved 90 posts, including regular and outsourced, to work in this department.
* The Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the HMDA area up to the Regional Ring Road. This will include 11 districts, 104 mandals and 1355 villages. As a result, the HMDA area will increase. With the latest decision, 332 new revenue villages will be included in the HMDA area.
