The government of Telangana is gearing up itself to auction the government lands once again to net revenue of at least Rs 2000 crore. The government seeks to auction the open plots in three districts under the limits of the HMDA and also seven other districts across the state.
The state government has been trying to generate revenue through auction of government lands from February this year. So far, it auctioned the government lands in Hyderabad and other districts and earned Rs 5000 crore. In a latest development, it is readying itself to auction 450 open plots in three districts under the HMDA limits and 2400 plots in seven districts. It decided to auction the lands from Nov 14-23.
The plots to be auctioned include 87 lots in Bahadurpalli, 145 lots in Torrur, 110 plots in Kurmalaguda. Also, the plots are going to be auctioned in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Vikarabad districts.
