Suniel Shetty’s house is a mighty extension of himself
“When you are building a home, it’s all about passion. If only you create the magic at home, can you create that magic outside.” That readers, is actor Suniel Shetty’s secret to staying so lively even at 61. He’s one of the fittest stars alive in India and the actor reeks of nothing but positivity. Perhaps the plush spacious bungalow keeps him in that happy and energetic space mentally. Located in the lap of the picturesque Khandala hill station in Maharashtra, Suniel Shetty’s house is a mighty extension of himself. His desire to have high ceilings designed for his house tells us a little something about how he likes to keep things decluttered; both physically and mentally.
If we have to broadly paint a picture of the star’s house in someone’s mind, we’d just say– think of earthy textures and serene greens coupled with organic material. The exterior and interior sections of the house are covered with browns and greens. The antique pieces, plants, and the sleeper wood add up to the charm of the beautiful house. You simply can’t get over the giant dining table.
The house is situated right in the heart of western ghats of Maharashtra. During day time, one doesn’t have to worry about switching on lights because there’s plenty of natural light making its way into the bungalow. Suniel seeks comfort at the convertible outdoor section. The high ceiling automatically parts ways, letting the actor take a look right at the vastness of the sky. He’s got a separate screening room for his friends and family. “The idea of having a den for me is disconnecting everything that happens in Mumbai!” says Sunil. The walls of his screening room are covered in brick wall texture and they adorn several frames of his film posters.
The actor said he made it a point to use what’s been a part of the land to create the design. At the end of the day, it’s all about nature for the actor. He loves to take a stroll in the garden area, preferably with his dear wife, Mana Shetty. “It’s about sustainability, protecting the environment and creating a world of your very own,” shares the Mangalorean. The Khandala home is a homage to his childhood memories. His wife Mana Shetty describes it perfectly: “This home that we built 17 years ago is a true labour of love!” The wilderness of the place is Suniel’s perfect getaway from the chaos in the city. In conclusion, Suniel Shetty has his house quite literally in order. A perfect house indeed!
