Gurgaon civic authorities have tightened their belts to get tough with builders who neglect the conduct of their structural audit.
They have served notices on the realtors who seem to be in no mood to mend their ways, no matter how many times they have been cautioned in this regard.
In a meeting with representatives of developer firms and real estate organisations held recently, the civic authorities did not mince words when they said that they would not hesitate to stop registration of their projects.
In the latest development, the civic body asked the concerned authorities to stop registration of the properties of those builders and realtors who defaulted on payment of the structural audit fees and those who did not bother to cooperate with the officials.
To assess the security of those who live in high-rise apartments, a structural audit is mandatory. It brings to light whether there are any structural defects. Whether the building has been built as per the prescribed standards?
