- Multiple complaints received by Hyderabad
- Authorities took action and removed encroachments
Several complaints were lodged with the HYDRA Commissioner about illegal sales taking place on 408 acres of land from Survey Numbers 119 to 220 in Iyalapur village, Ameenpur mandal, Sangareddy district. It was reported that nearly 3,800 people had previously purchased house plots and registered them in the village panchayat layout. However, the land was found to belong to the government, and the complainants stated that they had approached the court. Despite a stay order from the High Court, the individuals involved continued to manage the system and were selling the plots as house sites. Over 700 houses had been constructed so far, and government departments were providing electricity, drinking water, and road facilities. The complainants requested HYDRA to intervene in this matter.
Meanwhile, several complaints were received through Prajavani about encroachments in the area around Ameenpur Pedda Cheruvu. In response, HYDRA took action and demolished the illegal constructions in the surrounding areas of the lake. HYDRA reported that a political leader had occupied plots near the lake and developed a layout. Landowners alleged that the political leader had illegally sold these plots. It was also stated that legal battles against these encroachments had been ongoing since 2006. Three months ago, the authorities had conducted demolitions in the area. Afterward, the political leader allegedly re-fenced the area, prompting the authorities to take the matter seriously and file a complaint at the local police station.
