Bollywood director Subhash Ghai and his wife Mukta Ghai have sold their apartment in Andheri, Mumbai for Rs 12.85 crore. The flat is located on the 14th floor of the Rustomjee Elita building in Andheri West. Subhash Ghai had purchased this apartment in August 2016 for Rs 8.72 crore. The flat spans 1,760 square feet and includes two car parking spaces. With the recent sale for Rs 12.85 crore, the price per square foot works out to Rs 72,000. The buyer of the apartment is Sameer Gandhi.
The registration took place on January 22, with Rs 77 lakh paid as stamp duty and Rs 30,000 as registration fees. In the surrounding areas of Andheri, prices per square foot are above Rs 50,000. Several buildings developed by branded developers are priced at more than Rs 65,000 per square foot. Andheri is located in the western suburbs of Mumbai, situated between North and South Mumbai, and is home to many Bollywood stars, producers, and directors. Recently, Bollywood celebrities Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar also made headlines for selling their apartments in Andheri and Borivali.
