Completed design for the Skill University academic building

The Telangana government has decided to construct the Young India Skill University to international standards. In this regard, the state government is making arrangements to begin construction on November 6. Engineering experts have prepared several architectural designs related to the Skill University. The government has decided to build an administration building, academic block, workshops, separate hostels for girls and boys, a dining hall, and staff quarters on a 57-acre site near Meerkhanpet in the Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district.

Additionally, the designs include an auditorium, library, spacious playground, and parking area. Various model designs have been created to ensure ample open space and greenery within the expansive Skill University campus. Solar power plants will be installed on all buildings. The campus will also include facilities to provide skill training and accommodation for a total of 6,000 students.

The Megha company recently contributed Rs 200 crores towards the construction of the Skill University. The Adani Group has also donated Rs 100 crores. A corpus fund will be established using the contributions and partnerships from various corporate companies, ensuring that the university’s management does not face financial difficulties in the future. Plans have been prepared by TGIIIC, HMDA, and the R&B department to construct a new road for easy access to the university from Shamshabad airport and Mahbubnagar.

This road will connect Outer Ring Road Exit 13 at Raviryal to Kongarakalan and then to Meerkhanpet, ultimately linking to the Regional Ring Road at Akuthotapalli in Amanagalam, covering a distance of 40 kilometres. The road is planned to be constructed with a width of 200 feet, similar to the OOR. The road will pass through several villages from Raviryal to Akuthotapalli, and revenue officials are designing plans for land acquisition. The Telangana government is taking steps to launch a full academic year for the Skill University next year.
