The UPRERA cracked whip on 13 builders for various violations and levied Rs 1.77 crore towards fine on them. The violations include delaying handing over of the flats, not refunding the money to buyers as ordered by the RERA, failure to submit documents for group housing scheme. It served notices on them. As the builders failed to respond, it levied a fine of Rs 1.77 crore on 13 builders. Reviewing the implementation of its orders by the builders, it identified that some builders did not respond even if they were given time to implement them. Therefore, it decided to take action against them.
The following amount has been levied as fine on various builders: Gardenia India-Rs 62.13 lakh, Elegant Infracon Rs 7.93 lakh, Rudra Build Well Rs 3.12 lakh, Unibera Developers Rs 6.31 lakh, KV Developers Rs 6.67 lakh, Three C Green Developers-Rs 42.40 lakh, Sun City Hitech Infrastructures- Rs 47.515 crore, Antariksha engineers- Rs 6.98 lakh and Anil Gupta- Rs 6.8 lakh.
