Another major step has been taken in the prestigious Regional Ring Road (RRR) project in Telangana. The green signal has been given for the forest clearances related to the northern section of RRR. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has granted approvals for the construction of the Regional Ring Road North project. With this, the forest department’s hurdles for the construction of both the southern and northern sections of RRR have been cleared.
The Ministry of Environment has informed the state government about granting the necessary permissions for the forest lands, which were a major issue for the northern section of the Regional Ring Road. According to the permits, 35.5882 hectares in Medak district, 28.2544 hectares in Siddipet district, and 8.511 hectares in Yadadri-Bhongir district, totaling 72.3536 hectares of forest land across three districts, are being granted for the construction of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road under the Bharat Mala Project Phase-1, as stated by the central government. The Telangana government has clarified that the land acquisition will proceed in accordance with the various regulations related to these forest clearances.
