The Maharashtra RERA announced that it will provide QR Code to real estate projects along with registration certificate. The QR Code would facilitate the prospective home buyer’s verification of all facts related to the project with just one click of the mouse. The RERA said that it sanctioned QR Code to a Pune-based developer. The prospective buyers should scan the code with their smart phones. In a jiffy the details of the project like name, name of the developer, gestation period and other facts would appear on the screen.
They can immediately find out whether are there any complaints against the project or there is any tampering with the approved layout plan. Similarly, one can easily know whether the permission is renewed or not for a project. Ever since the inception of Maha RERA, so far 40,000 projects have been registered with the RERA since 2017. Of them, 5700 projects remained suspended, according to statistics.
