Real estate prices in the United States, particularly in New York, are skyrocketing. A prime example of this is the penthouse in New York’s West Village, which has been priced at Rs 75 crore ($8.75 million). This record-setting price is for a penthouse in a project on Manhattan Street. The duplex condo at 140 Jane Street in West Village offers stunning Hudson River views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The apartment features a terrace with a pool, three balconies, and a spacious 9,532 square feet (886 square meters) of indoor space. The project is being developed by Aurora Capital Associates. The price of this unit is 46% higher than current market rates.
According to local agents, most units in this building have already been sold. The project includes a total of 14 units, of which nine have already been sold. Three of these apartments were sold for over Rs 342 crore ($40 million). Another 5,700 square-foot penthouse has been priced at Rs 385 crore ($45 million), which translates to about $7,960 per square foot.
Previously, the most expensive transaction in West Village was for a 5,840 square-foot duplex at 150 Charles Street, which was sold for $60 million (approximately Rs 513 crore).
