Private equity (PE) investments in the country’s real estate sector have increased. From April to December, there was a 6% growth, reaching $2.82 billion. Industrial and logistics parks attracted the most investment. During the same period in 2023-24, PE investments totaled $2.66 billion. While 24 transactions took place last year, 30 transactions were recorded in 2023. Of the total PE investments, foreign funds accounted for 82%, while domestic investments contributed 18%. The industrial and logistics sector accounted for the largest share, with 62% of the investments. Housing attracted 15%, the office sector 14%, and mixed-use projects 9%. According to Shobhit Agarwal, CEO of Anarock Capital, the top-10 deals accounted for 93% of the total PE transactions in the first nine months.
