Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSB) Managing Director Danakishore has claimed that that there is no shortage of water in Hyderabad and the city has sufficient water for the next 40 years. He made these observations while addressing the CII conference on ‘Physical Infrastructure and Realty – Opportunities and Challenges’ held as part of the Telangana Infra Summit here recently.
According to the Oxford Cities’ report, 17 of the 20 cities that will be the fastest growing cities in the world by 2030 will be in India. Hyderabad will have a GDP of 85 billion dollars. With amenities like Greenfield airport, ORR, drinking water projects, Metro Rail and other better amenities, Telangana is set to become one of the role-model states, opine CII Telangana Infra and Real Estate Panel and MD M. Gautham Reddy. He said land acquisition has become a serious problem in the construction of roads. He suggested resolving, disputes related to these within 90 days. CII Telangana Vice Chairman C. Shekhar Reddy said that people should be encouraged to use water saving tools.
