Two weeks have passed since Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Special Chief Secretary for Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar and others met the Telangana Construction Associations to curb UDS and prelaunch sales. The government stated in a press release that it will try to create awareness on UDS and pre launch sales, towards which it will work with CREDAI Hyderabad and other organizations. However, there has been no concrete action even two weeks after the announcement.
At the same time, more than 50 companies in Hyderabad and all over Telangana have launched UDS and pre-launch schemes. These companies are publicizing that they were doing a favor to the home buyers in the State and claiming that only they can provide the dream homes to their buyers at such budget-friendly prices. A large percentage of builders and developers believe that illegal layouts and ventures will continue to mushroom if there will be any further delay in taking any crucial decision in this regard. One has to wait and watch when the government will respond.
