‘Lift GO 50; reduce electricity charges’

The NAREDCO team brought to the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister that the applications made under TS-bPASS have been pending for the last two years. The team members met him at the secretariat on Monday and informed him of the many problems in the field. They requested that he immediately set up an environment committee, which has not been seen in the state for the past six months. They demanded an immediate reduction in the rate for temporary electricity prices for building structures, which had been increased from Rs.9 to Rs.14 per unit. With the formation of RERA, they requested that the 10 percent mortgage policy taken at the time of permission for building construction be removed. To reduce the high registration charges in the state, it is suggested that G.O. 50 be lifted. It was brought to the attention of the Deputy CM that lakhs of pending LRS applications should be resolved immediately so that large-scale construction would start and the government would get more income.
