Protesting against the denial of their right to enjoy the title of their properties instead of having all documents and living in their houses for several years, the JAC leaders of Wakf Board victims launched fast-unto-death at Boduppal, The JAC started the indefinite stir at 10.30 am in front of municipal office at Boduppal. The members of the JAC claim that armed with all legal documents – like remittances paid under the LRS, building permission granted by civic authority, house numbers, pattadar-passbooks and other documents—they are being penalized unnecessarily.
The state government developed roads and drainages, provided amenities like power. In spite of having all the documentary evidence, it is not proper on the part of the government to say that the house owners that do not have any title to the property. The government declared the lands on which the property situated as wakf board lands. The HMDA layout developed in Medchal-Malkajgiri district in 2016 has also been declared as that of Wakf property. The JAC leaders said that it was declared in the state legislative assembly that an additional extent of 3000 acres in Boduppal Municipal Corporation limits come under wakf lands category. They said that the objective of the protest is to ensure that such injustice is not done to anyone in future.
