Hyderabad to host first ever green property show

The first edition of the green property show of the Indian Green Building council, in partnership with the Government of Telangana, will be held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad on July 28, 29 and 30. The exhibition will showcase the green products and services and also the residential properties. More than 75 exhibitors would show case green properties, products and services at the expo.

CII Telangana Chairman C Sekhar Reddy commenting on the expo said that taking part in the IGBC green property show would provide good forum to developers to show case their projects, their leadership and commitment. Objective of the event is to create awareness among people on the significance of choosing the green rating projects, compared to normal projects, the benefits accrued to customers in selecting green projects, their contribution to achieve stability and safeguarding environment.

He said that the integrated secretariat complex, Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, Hyderabad Police Commissionerate Headquarters and integrated command and control centre, HUDA annexe buildings, office of the Industries Commissioner, Abids, Hyderabad Bhavan are some of the green projects. Besides these projects several other projects have accepted the IGBC green ratings.

This has inspired the real estate sector in Telangana. Moreover, there are many developers who are into the IGBC green homes and buildings design, development and maintenance. CII Telangana Chairman said that he is happy at these positive development. He said that he would expect that the exhibition would inspire others. Many customers might invest in such green projects deriving inspiration from the projects.

The IGBC Hyderabad chapter co-chairman AR Srinivasa Murthy, CII IGBC executive director KS Venkatagiri, deputy executive director M Anand and others were also present.
