Hyderabad hosts India’s best property show

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy appreciated CREDAI-Hyderabad for unveiling the potential of Hyderabad’s real sector with nearly 100 stalls and over 1,500 projects through the property show. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Hyderabad has reached to the top spot in real estate sector of the country, due to the proactive measures taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to promote the realty sector in the State. and added that after Regional Ring Road as envisaged by the government, the real estate sector in the State will witness a major boom in the market. Soon after the RRR project is launched, it will give much needed boost to the realty sector for next 20-30 years.

For the middle-class

The Minister reminded that in order to increase the sustainability of the construction sector in Hyderabad, medium-scale constructions should to be taken up. He appealed to the builders to develop projects that would fulfill the dream of middle-class population to own a house. “Only then will the construction sector remain active for decades to come,” he said. Further, he assured to take up the issue of land pooling with the Chief Minister to facilitate development of affordable housing projects. He pointed out that the Dharani portal was launched to simplify the management of agricultural lands and solved 47 types of issues pertaining to farm lands for the benefit of farmers. The pending issues including those being faced by the realty sector, too will be addressed soon.

The Dharani website has reduced the unnecessary problems for second generation builders who no longer are required to run around the government offices or the courts to avoid any land disputes, Prashanth Reddy said. He said due to the commitment of KT Rama Rao, TS-bPASS was introduced bringing more transparency in the construction sector. He also responded positively to requests by the builders for integration of the government departments with TS-bPASS. He also assured to strengthen the Telangana State unit of RERA. People were advised to visit CREDAI-Hyderabad Property Show and find a permanent residence in Hyderabad.

Requests from realtors

Realtors made suggestions to address many issues which are plaguing the realty sector in Hyderabad. They include:

  • The government should provide land to facilitate affordable housing projects.
  • A special committee should be set up to resolve land-related issues.
  • Several government departments should be integrated into the TS-bPASS.
  • A full-time chairman should be appointed for RERA. An Appellate Officer also should be appointed.
  • Telangana RERA should be strengthened by providing necessary infrastructure and staff.
  • TS-bPASS should be promoted on the lines of TS-iPass.

Things to remember..

  • Do not get fooled by pre-launches or UDS.
  • Developer’s profile should be studied before buying a house.
  • Purchase only RERA-approved properties.
