HMDA mechanism along with District Task Force has stepped up its aggression towards unauthorized buildings and illegal structures. They demolished illegal structures in Hyderabad is going on at a rapid pace. On Second Day, HMDA demolished big sites in Shankarpalli, Badangpet, Dundigal, Boduppal and Pocharam municipalities.
Authorities began demolition work on structures over 600 yards on Monday and demolished another 13 illegal buildings on Tuesday. In total, the task force teams took action against 23 illegal structures in two days. Four illegal structures were demolished in Shankarpalli municipality, three in Dundigal, three in Badangpet, two in Pocharam municipality and one in Boduppal municipality. Officials said the demolition process of the illegal structures would continue unabated. The municipal department sought an explanation as to why the town planning staff working in the respective municipalities had not identified the illegal structures in advance.
