- Houses amounting to Rs. 4,063 crore were sold in seven cities
Leading property consultancy Anarock revealed that there is a high demand for luxury homes across the country. Houses priced above Rs. 40 crore have been registered in seven major cities across the country, and a transaction value of Rs. 4,063 crore has been recorded.
It said that 58 houses have been sold so far this year in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. They explained that last year only 13 houses were sold in this section, but this time there has been a huge increase. Mumbai stands first in luxury home sales. 58 units of the most expensive houses were sold in seven major cities across the country, of which 53 units were sold in Mumbai alone. While four units were sold in Delhi, one unit worth over Rs. 40 crore was sold in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
It is noteworthy that out of 53 units sold in Mumbai, the price of three houses is above Rs. 200 crore. The price of seven houses is between Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 crore. The price of two units in Delhi is above Rs. 100 crore. The sales of luxury and ultra-luxury houses have increased since COVID. The rich (HNIs) and ultra-rich (Ultra HNIs) are buying expensive houses for investment and personal needs, said Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri. He said that the demand for ultra-luxury houses has increased as HNIs have made changes in their investment portfolios in the background of volatility in the stock markets due to geopolitical tensions.
