Future City Bandar Greenfield Road Alignment Ready for Rapid Development
  • Spanning across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
  • Covers five districts and over 100 villages
  • Twelve-lane Greenfield highway
  • Initially planned for 297 kilometres

The Telangana government’s prestigious Bharat Future City project has proposed a 12-lane Greenfield highway connecting Future City in Telangana to Bandar Port in Andhra Pradesh, and the preliminary alignment for this highway has been finalised. The state government has submitted these details to the central government. Based on this primary alignment, the Revanth government has requested approval and construction of the Greenfield highway.

The proposed highway will pass through five districts and over 100 villages across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Within Telangana, it will cover 40 villages across two districts, while in Andhra Pradesh, it will pass through 60 villages across three districts. Once this expert-approved alignment receives central approval, construction of the highway can commence. It has been reported that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to assign the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Greenfield highway alignment to a leading consultancy firm. If the consultancy is selected by the third week of October, there is a possibility that the full alignment will be finalised by December.

According to the preliminary plan, the Greenfield Highway will start near Tippareddipalli, close to Bharat Future City proposed between the Outer Ring Road and the Regional Ring Road, and will pass alongside Lankelapalli to connect to the Amaravati Capital City in Andhra Pradesh, eventually reaching Bandaru Port.
