Haryana RERA has directed a developer to return the investment of the flat buyer along with interest as the developer failed to hand over the flat within the deadline stipulated. The RERA found fault with the Ramaprastha Developers and gave the above directions. A customer booked a flat in July 2011 in Skies Project of the developer undertaking in Sector 37 of Gurugram. As per the agreement, the builder was scheduled to hand over the project by July 2014. There was no response from the builder even after the expiry of the deadline. The customer tried hard for over five years to get the flat. However, he approached the RERA in 2019 seeking return of his investment. Hearing both sides, the RERA ruled that the developer should return the money with interest. It asked the developer to pay interest from the date of amount paid by the customer to the date of returning the investment by the developer.
