Demand goes up for luxury homes

In the wake of the pandemic situation, everyone seems to have realized the importance of owning a house or flat. With the surge in demand for properties, the realty sector moved with alacrity. In a latest development, big and sprawling homes are in great demand. As the work-from-home concept is still continuing, the demand for luxury homes has increased.

People of the elite class who would not hesitate spending any amount of money, professionals who do not care making payment of huge sums towards the EMI have been creating the heaven of their choice – luxury homes with wide variety of amenities.

In this backdrop, business families, founders of several startups, top company CEOs have been spending from Rs 50 to Rs 1000 crore. There is no surprise in it. According to India Sotheby International Realty and CRE Matrix joint report, sale of luxury homes was excellent in 2021 in Mumbai and Pune. It reached the maximum in 2021 for the past four years. Luxury home sales all set to create records in 2022, according to popular estimation. In fact, the sales have improved since 2020. Many people are showing interest in investing money in them if the increase in sales of luxury homes, villas, and bungalow is any indication.
People inclined to own homes with green open area, study room, fitness room and other facilities for resting. Due to renewal of investments of the NRIs in Indian realty sector, the demand for luxury homes has increased manifold. Out of seven important cities in the country, a close look at sale of homes last year indicates that 25 per cent of the homes constituted premium luxury homes ( in the price range of Rs 90 lakh and Rs 2 crore). If the current trend were to continue, the sale of luxury homes in 2022 is likely to register more growth.
