December sets a record of sorts in property sales

The month saw the highest registration of properties in 2023.

The month of December 2023 has created a record of sorts in the sale of properties. The highest quantum of sales was recorded in December.

According to the latest report from Knight Frank India, a total of 7254 properties were registered in December last year, registering 15% growth on an annual basis. However, on a monthly basis, the growth was documented as 16%.

The total value of the properties sold in December was Rs 4191 crore, which is 32% more than the value of properties sold in the previous year.

On the whole, 71,912 residential properties were registered in 2023 in Hyderabad. Their total value was put at Rs 38,395 crore.

According to details, 47% of the units sold were priced between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, and 15% of the properties sold had a value less than Rs 25 lakh.

Of the total properties sold, the number of properties, each of whose value ranges between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1 crore, increased to 9% in December last year as against 7% in December 2022.

The sale of properties whose cost exceeded that of Rs 1 crore constituted 12% of the total properties sold this year, compared to 9% last year.

District-wise, Medchal-Malkajgiri constituted 45% of the total properties sold in December, followed by Rangareddy district at 40%.

In December 2022, the Hyderabad share was 14% among the properties sold in December 2023, as against 16% sold in the corresponding period last year.

The number of registrations has come down to 1% from 6%.

The number of registrations in Medchal-Malkajgiri district during December 2023 increased to 45% from 42% recorded in the corresponding period last year. The registrations have increased to 40% from the previous 36%.
